Taking issue with wolf ‘hunt’

The wolves like anything must be well managed but not killed off. The American Indian tribes are Americans and have rights that should be respected, also.

To kill off wolves by use of high-powered rifles and shotguns from helicopters and planes is slaughtering. Years ago, there was a motion picture of this type of killing. It showed the blood pouring out of all the pellet and bullet holes in the side of the wolves running across a snow-covered opening until they fell over dead. The public got real upset and the picture was then pulled.

Also, the use of night vision equipment, spotlights, ATVs, snowmobiles, dogs, poisons are just other means of slaughtering them.

This kind of stuff is the way the buffalo were almost wiped out. They surrounded the herds and shot every one of them. Also, they drove entire herds over cliffs, killing all.

Many of these wolf killers want to kill all the bears because the bears get some early fawns. Soon the U.P. woods will be a silent graveyard. In my book, this is not sportsmanship.
