Buck the norm
A few weeks ago I had to go into the emergency room of DCH for an ailment. After correcting the problem, I was put into a waiting room for about 10 to 15 minutes as my paperwork was being processed. Not having my phone with me, and there being no TV or magazines in the room, I decided to make use of my time and do some pushups and body squats.
The nurse walked in and asked why I was breathing harder than normal and I explained I was doing some body exercises. She replied, “Oh, you’re a character.” She said it nicely so I just humbly smiled. So if I sit there for 15 minutes and stare into a wall I am the norm. But, if I make good use of my time I am a character. There are times in life when taking the loneliest road that few take is the best road to be on. Thank you.
