Keep those metal tabs coming in

EDITOR:

A month ago I had a Letter to the Editor in The Daily News about saving those little aluminum tabs on beverage cans for the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee.

Remember “Little Ellie” from Iron River, who was injured in a sledding accident? The family called the Ronald McDonald House home for several months. The Ronald McDonald House has been home for 49,000 families. We have collected and delivered 350,000 tabs. I stated it would be nice to get 150,000 more by May 15. That is the day they have the “Tab Toss” at Winter Services in West Allis, Wis. On that day they pay twice the going rate for aluminum.

Wow, have you responded! We have collected another 75,000 tabs in just three weeks. Pat yourself on the back.

You can drop off tabs at these locations: Bob & Jerry’s Bar in Kingsford; Tom & Jo’s and Stephenson Marketing Co-Op in Aurora, Wis.; Mine Shaft Bar & Grill, Leff’s Bar and Northern Lites in Florence, Wis.; Nichols Flooring & Tile in Iron River; and Sach’s Bar in Tipler, Wis.

Keep on tabbing!
