A note from ‘The Tab Man’

I said in the last letter I was taking a break. Continue to save tabs but hold on to them.

Please watch more closely as to what you are putting in the containers you are turning in. Many items are not aluminum. Some of the things I have come across are paper clips, pins, bottle caps, hearing aid batteries, etc. Ninety-nine percent of the large tabs you think are aluminum are other metals.

Humor: One day when collecting tabs, a friend, Joe Tripp, asked me if I write these letters. I told him, “No.” My penmanship is bad, I print them. He looked at me and shook his head, drank his Miller Lite and gave me the tab. What are friends for?

I had been holding off on turning the tabs in hopes the price would go up. Some more tabs trickled in before I turned them in. Surpassed 1 million tabs by 125,700.
