All over the internet there are clips of police officers overextending their authority and crossing the line with citizens, infringing on their rights. To be forthright, a badge and a gun are symbols of power in our society. Then we have these imbeciles that walk around intentionally antagonizing the police with their intent being to make officers look bad as the idiots read off their constitutional rights, all the while recording the situation so it can be posted online. Fine, go ahead and post the clips.

Nothing illegal about it and it is their right to do so.

However, for every one of these type of clips, let’s start posting the literally thousands of clips where officers go above and beyond how courteous they have to be and the thousands of clips of police officers giving citizens a break, when they could have just as easily written a ticket.

I have found in my own interactions with police in this area if you are honest about your mistake and respectful they are more than understanding, courteous and apply something that seems to be dissipating in our society, that being common sense, to the situation. Just like all citizens seek fairness, let’s start applying the same fairness to the men and women who wear the badge.
