A look back at his predictions

I wrote the below Letter to the Editor in May 2021 and I wish I were wrong regarding my predictions. Very sadly, my predictions have come true and even more severe. I have only updated our projected debt and the very last sentence below from my May 2021 letter —

After electing an affable, “man of the people” politician as President, we saw our country plunge into one calamity after another. We had seen long lines at the pump, skyrocketing inflation, exponential increases in gas prices, conflict with Iran, high unemployment, very weak job growth and rising tensions between Israel and its neighbors. This “national malaise” came to define Jimmy Carter’s presidency and he was soundly defeated after four years by Ronald Reagan. Isn’t it ironic that Joe Biden recently went to Georgia to do a photo-op with Jimmy Carter?

History is repeating itself but even worse. Joe Biden, in 100 days, has created long lines at the gas pump, skyrocketing inflation, exponential increases in gas prices, conflict with Iran, high unemployment, very weak job growth and a near war between Israel and its neighbors. Biden has matched Carter’s hand and raised it considerably. In addition to the calamities above, Biden has canceled pipelines, choking off valuable fuel to our country, he has opened our borders to anybody who wants to come here illegally and he has run up our national debt to an all-time high of $28.3 trillion and quickly headed towards $33 trillion (actually $35.4 trillion) by the end of his term in office. In addition, he is coddling our enemies, China, Russia and Iran, and turning his back on allies, Canada and Israel.

May God protect us over the next 10 months and help us to elect Donald J. Trump in November!
