The power of the library
This letter is written in support of the Dickinson County Library and the upcoming ballot mileage.
Our local library provides a wealth of resources to our community, including books, DVDS, early education kits, magazines, newspapers, snowshoes and my son’s personal favorite, toy trains.
During the year, our local library hosts various events such as yoga, story time, gamer’s club, Lego club, book club, and even the occasional Chinese cooking class.
All of these services are free to the community.
Libraries offer the public access to knowledge and experiences which may be out of reach for many.
Andrew Carnegie, the telegraph operator who became an industrialist, understood the power of libraries when he gifted Iron Mountain its first library.
So keep the knowledge flowing and vote for the library on Aug. 6!
