On Wednesday we will have our 10th-annual Tractor Ride to the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

The Northwoods Antique Tractor Club is the sponsor of the event.

We anticipate leaving near the railroad tracks in East Kingsford at 10 a.m. and travel west on Breen Avenue to Balsam Street in Breitung Township, then north to Woodward Avenue, then east to Kimberly Avenue, then north to H Street in Iron Mountain and east to the VA hospital.

We anticipate about 15 tractors from the surrounding area, as far as Pembine, Wis., and Iron River.

Our tractors only go about 10 miles per hour, so we ask the public for patience Wednesday morning.

Kingsford Public Safety, Iron Mountain Police Department and the VA Police will help us with traffic.
