Are we being complicit?

What does supporting a person or group of people that defamed and denigrate a person, even if you don’t do it, mean?

In the time we are living in and in fact the history of this country, that has occurred and is occurring. For example, it occurred in the Jim Crow era and slavery period of our history and is now occurring in political leaders and extremist organizations. In law one is guilty of a crime if involved or a facilitator of it. I believe that also applies to people that support ones who disrespect and denigrate others. Empowering, supporting, voting for parties, groups, churches, or organizations that do the above, I believe makes you complicit.

These are the behaviors of bullies, racist, sexist, haters and malignant egoist, in my mind. Supporting them or the groups they represent seems to me to make you complicit, hence a supporter of that.

What this crowds out are good government, democracy, Christian values, basic trust in others, racial and political tolerance, and a positive future for this country. This can thrive in organizations because of misinformation, absolute adherence to a faith or cult, one issue allegiance such as in the abortion issue, unrecognized prejudice, or baseless fear.

I believe this election could result in destroying what we have been trying to perfect since our founding.
