Ballot ease in Wisconsin
You can’t escape it. Another election is a month away in Wisconsin. Don’t let a snowstorm or distractions keep you from these stealth elections, and vote early in person or absentee by U.S. Mail with Ballot Tracking.
Visit MyVote.Wi on your device, and link directly to your local voting clerk. You can request an absentee ballot be mailed to you for every election this year, including the April 1 Supreme Court contest, referendum and local elections.
You’re not alone when you’re more aware of Groundhog Day than the nonpartisan primary election on Feb. 18.
Voting is easy and secure in Wisconsin and across the nation. All your questions about voting integrity – including how no one can use another’s name to get a ballot — can be answered by your local clerk, or by visiting the Wisconsin Elections Commission or the National Association of State Legislatures websites.
And if you have — or someone you know has — transportation difficulties, and age or a physical condition make going to the polls difficult, call your municipal clerk or use MyVote.Wi to automatically get a ballot at every election, as a permanent (indefinitely confined) absentee voter.
As an absentee voter, you can always choose to go to the polls in person and you’ll be permitted to cast an in person ballot if you affirm you haven’t already returned the absentee ballot. The system’s checks and balances will catch (and has caught) misrepresentations, and these are turned over to law enforcement. If you try to vote twice, you’ll get caught.
Your choice matters Feb. 18 and April 1. Sixty seconds on MyVote.Wi is the voter’s equivalent of having a butler bring your tea.
