Time for people to wake up about Trump
Letter to the Editor
Watching Pam Bondi, the U.S. attorney general, appear in front of Congress on Feb. 12 concerning the Jeffrey Epstein scandal was akin to trying to get excitement from hoping a dead mouse in a trap miraculously comes back to life. It literally was insanity at its finest.
She stated instead of investigating pedophilia and rape, along with sex trafficking, what Congress and her should have been talking about is the Dow hitting 50,000. After mentioning it once, I am not certain what the conversation could be; I guess she could lead Congress and Epstein’s victims who were there in an eight-hour chant: “Hail Donald Trump, the Dow is at 50,000.” (Trump would love it.)
Enough sarcasm, now let’s get serious. Let’s take a look at the first year of the “O Great Leader.”
Yes, the border is closed and he is responsible for that happening. However, he promised manufacturing jobs would increase; per his own Labor Department, approximately 100,000 jobs were lost in 2025. He promised consumer prices would fall dramatically; prices rose by 2.4% last year, per his own Bureau of Labor Statistics. He said gas would fall below $2 a gallon; it still hovers around $3. He said the Ukraine War would end immediately; it rages on. He said we would once again be respected as a nation all over the world; in reality, we are hated more than ever and even some of our allies despise us — with good reason, I may add. Let’s not forget the national debt, which he said would be decreased; per his own numbers, the debt increased by $2.2 trillion in fiscal year 2025.
The icing on the cake of this is this reprehensible Epstein attempted cover-up — remember, it’s a hoax, per Trump. Even Trump’s staunchest media ally, Newsmax, ripped Trump and Bondi over the redactions in the files.
It’s time for people who voted for Trump to wake up, as Marjorie Taylor Greene has. Quoting MTG: “MAGA was one big lie.”
