Thank the Republican party for alerting us to Communism in their billboard on Carpenter Avenue. Yet the truth of the matter is that our president has more connections to once-Communist Russia than anybody else.
The newspaper for the Communist regime was Pravda, its propaganda arm. Pravda's meaning -- translated Truth -- is close to Truth Social, Trump's chosen means of propaganda. Some of the money behind Truth Social, under the auspices of Trump Media and Technology, comes from Russian loans. As cited in Wikipedia, "According to The Guardian, in December 2021, loans totaling $8 million … were paid to Trump Media from obscure Putin-connected entities … $2 million was paid by Paxum Bank, part-owned by Anton Postolnikov, a relation of Aleksandr Smirnov, a former Russian government official who now runs the Russian maritime company Rosmorport. $6 million was paid by an ostensibly separate entity, ES Family Trust, whose director was the director of Paxum Bank at the same time."
No surprise there. As Eric Trump told interviewer James Dodson in 2014, "'Well, we don't rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia."
Now Trump or his buddy Elon Musk or both of them have caused the throttling of Starshield which enables Ukraine to effectively fight the Russian invasion. But Elon Musk says, "Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the U.S. government." "Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the U.S. military and ultimately POTUS."
If we believe Elon, it's Donald's fault that the Ukraine is hobbled. Putin gains an advantage. But that's not the only deal Putin gets. With Trump waiving sanctions on Russian oil, Bill Browder, leading critic of Putin’s regime, told the BBC the move was "a terrible decision that will enrich Vladimir Putin and prolong the war in Ukraine."
So, Vladimir Putin, former lieutenant colonel in the KGB, in service to the Communist Russian State, gets money from oil to continue his savage war on Ukraine. Putin gets help on the battlefield from Starshield throttling. Putin shows he has mastered the "Art of the Deal" over Trump.
