Appreciate all who made way for tractor ride

Bouquets & Barbs

Bouquet

From Vance Jones, Randville:

A special thank-you to the Kingsford and Iron Mountain police departments for help with traffic during our annual tractor ride to the VA. Also to the public for watching out for our slow-moving tractors.

We do this ride to honor our veterans and this year also in honor of Harold Wettanen, a Vietnam War veteran and club member who passed earlier this year.

Tractors and antique equipment from Menomonee, Florence, Iron and Dickinson counties were on display at the VA to enjoy, as many veterans did.

Most members of the Northwoods Antique Tractor Club are veterans, too.

Thank you for serving.

Bouquet

From Frank Rodman, Hermansville:

The Hermansville Fourth of July celebration thanks the sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event a success.

Volunteers who made this year’s celebration the best one yet include staff from William Anderson Sport & Recreation Club, American Legion Post 340 Auxiliary, Meyer Township Fire Department, bartenders, Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, Fireworks Committee, IXL Museum, parade judges and Hermansville Car Club.

A special thanks to Lori and Seth Polfus and all the sports teams for running the games, all the musicians, the mud run crew, all the workers, and everyone in attendance.
