Thanks to volunteer crews that helped at Crivitz Lumber fire

Bouquets & Barbs

Bouquet

From George Kloppenburg, Amberg:

To all the fire and rescue volunteers at the Crivitz Lumber Company fire Jan. 29, thank you. Everyone should be aware that most of the personal at all fires are volunteers — not paid, just dedicated, giving people. Every community has a volunteer rescue and fire departments; we need these people. A volunteer gives of his or her time to go to classes to acquire the knowledge for each job with no pay, just dedication. I thank my fire department and all fire departments in the county.

Also, along with this, I say good job to all outdoor people in this cold weather — postman, garbage collectors, town crews, county crews, police and sheriff’s departments — thanks for your dedicated service.

DCHS demonstrates why it’s worth keeping in IM

Bouquet

From Agatha Cavaiani, Kingsford:

During my recent overnight stay at our Dickinson County Healthcare System, I received excellent care and did experience knowledge, professionalism and a caring concern for the senior citizen.

We desperately need our hospital to remain open, especially in the winter months when travel is so unpredictable. I hope the hospital board will have some answers regarding the future of DCHS soon. Keep us posted.
