Appreciated help at food distribution site
Bouquets and Barbs
Bouquet: On Wednesday, Aug. 11, I was in line in my van on Ludington Street, awaiting an attendant to register me so I could get the food distribution from the Feeding America food truck.
I take advantage of this for my own well-being, and what I don’t need, I make sure a needed someone gets.
After a long period of time, the line started moving. Turning the key didn’t do it. My van didn’t start.
It wasn’t long before an attendant appeared and signaled the cars behind me to pass and asked me a few questions.
He said he’d get someone with jumper cables to help me. This he did and by then, the line was coming to an end.
In the meantime, a really nice woman came from the distribution point with my commodity. Words always fail me when needed, but many thank-yous for recognizing my hardship and gloom, and doing something about it.
