Getting close to 2M aluminum tabs goal
Bouquets and Barbs
Bouquet: Jim “The Tab Man” Brolin and his chauffeur, grandson Matthew, delivered 825,000 aluminum tabs to Golden Iron & Metal Recycling in Kaukauna, Wis.
Because they were for The Ronald McDonald House, they paid double the price of aluminum per pound, $1.10. We had 498 pounds — two more pounds and we’d have had 500!
Tabs now at 1,875,000 toward a 2 million goal. Awesome job everyone, keep on tabbing. Your ongoing support is what helps RMH keep families together. Without you, the families would not be able to stay close to their sick or injured child while they receive critical medical treatment.
Please make sure the tabs you drop off are aluminum. Those large ones off of soup or stew cans, etc., are metal.
Drop-off locations are: The Mine Shaft Bar & Grill, 101 Bar & Grill, Northern Lites in Florence; Saloon No. 2 in Spread Eagle, Wis.; Sach’s in Tipler, Wis.; Bob & Jerry’s in Kingsford; Tom & Jo’s Liquor and Stephenson Marketing Co-op in Aurora, Wis.; and Nichols Flooring & Stone in Iron River.
The end is near. I’m strongly considering retiring when the goal is met.
