Those eager to take advantage of winter’s snow need to keep safety at the forefront of their preparations, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources advises. Be extra careful on all waterbodies and remember that no ice is safe ice, the DNR warns in a news release. Wisconsin expands ‘Move Over’ law on its roadways
With Upper Peninsula residents regularly venturing south into Wisconsin, it helps to know the rules of the road in that state — and a significant one became law this week, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation advised. Drivers in Wisconsin are now required to move over or slow down when approaching disabled vehicles on the side of the road. Gov. Tony Evers signed Assembly Bill 409, now 2025 Wisconsin Act 54, providing that added protection.
