Be aware of what can incite

Some people are inspired by books, some by plays and many by movies. During World War II, our government used movie shorts before full-length movies to glorify and inspire many to join the military. Many movies have been written to inspire morality and kindness to one another. Action films are made to get our adrenaline flowing and again to inspire us into action of a favorable kind.

Lately, though, it has been the center of controversy and even conflict. A couple examples would be the modern version of the play “Julius Caesar” which features a Caesar that resembles President Trump. Also the image of Kathy Griffin holding a mask of President Trump covered with fake blood.

I agree with the press that such media didn’t cause the violence in Alexandria, Va., where several politicians were shot or shot at.

Such media can’t force people to do anything that they wouldn’t normally do. But on the other hand, it can “inspire” them to do something they may have already been considering. Maybe it is time to think carefully before releasing such inciteful things to the media.
