Pipelines keep energy flowing

EDITOR:

If we want to see more manufacturing jobs in Michigan, we need to make sure our energy is affordable and reliable. The backbone of Michigan’s energy infrastructure is a strong network of oil and natural gas pipelines that keep our economy moving.

I can’t understand the activists who are opposed to pipelines in our state. Maybe they don’t have families to feed, jobs that depend on energy or homes to heat. But for the rest of us, we should be thankful every day that there are more than 100,000 miles of pipelines throughout Michigan. These pipelines deliver the affordable energy that makes our lives possible.

Michigan’s pipelines benefit working families. The oil and natural gas they provide can support future generations of Michigan workers as long as anti-energy activists don’t get their way. We can’t let our economy be ruined by a few people with a misguided idea that oil and natural gas should be left in the ground. Let’s support Michigan’s energy infrastructure.
