Give GOP two more years

EDITOR:

Democrats claim to be the party of health care. Their signature accomplishment on health care is Obamacare but because it has failed so miserably, they now are advocating “Medicare for all!”

The cost of this program is projected to be $32.6 trillion over 10 years or $23,000 per taxpayer per year. Ask yourself one question, “Do I pay $23,000 per year for health insurance and deductibles now?” The answer for 99 percent of Americans is a resounding no!

In addition, ask our veterans about the quality of their care. My uncle and dad both died in our local Veterans Administration (VA) hospital. My uncle acquired gangrene while in the care of the VA, had his leg amputated, and eventually died under the care of the VA. My dad also was admitted to the VA. I went to visit him on a Friday after work like I always did. When I got there his oxygen tube wasn’t in his nose. I asked him why he didn’t have the hose in and he said because there was no oxygen flowing. I checked the other end of the tube and it was disconnected and there was no oxygen flowing. He died 36 hours later.

Do you really want the Democrat’s plan of “Medicare for All” that will cost the average taxpayer $23,000 more per year and provide terrible quality health care like many VA hospitals? Give the Republicans two more years and they will greatly improve health care through private industry techniques that almost always are successful.
