Why is IM post office closed?
There is no reason why the U.S. Post Office in downtown Iron Mountain is closed on Saturday morning. Considering it’s located in the business district, it should be open. It’s very inconvenient to drive over to Kingsford to mail packages. All the carriers now are located out of the Iron Mountain branch; it should be a no brainer — this way, people can also pick up missed deliveries and not wait until next week.
Furthermore, why was the Post Office lobby closed Thursday? Yes, it was cold outside, but you have heat inside. I heard people talking and laughing in the back room. No excuse!
