Don’t be passive this election year
EDITOR:
We are one month away from the election and this brings a couple things to mind.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.” — this idea has been cited by many back as far as the 1860s. Don’t be passive. Speak your mind. Engage with your neighbors and fellow Americans in a civil way.
“The forgotten citizens — they work, they vote, they generally pray, but they always pay.” Don’t let partisan politics waste our tax dollars, our greatness as a nation, nor our rule of law as a republic. Remember, our elected officials work for us; we must hold them accountable. The citizens are sovereign.
