Congress might not pass cost cap

EDITOR:

You hear that Congress might cap your prescription costs at $2,000 annually. Millions are thrilled. At last, you think. But then you hear that Congress might not pass it. Now they might have done this one thing by the time you read this so take it as an example.

In any case, what must you do about that? I can tell you what you should do. You should call them and remind them that they are your employees and they must do your bidding. And if they do not, you fire them. That means you do not re-elect them again.

Now they give themselves high-sounding titles and they vote themselves high paychecks and they act like they are better than you. But you are the boss! They are the hired help. They are hired to make everyone’s life better. They are supposed to tell you the truth. They are certainly not in their jobs to promote or serve their political party. They are supposed to uphold our Constitution and serve us. We are the boss. They are the workers, managing our business for us.

Why do you let anything beside that be the situation? Are you uneducated about how the system works? Then that is “on you.” You should understand this relationship between boss (us) and worker (them). Or have they deceived you? Remember, I said they are supposed to tell you the truth. I did not say they do tell you the truth.

Finally, what about the approximately one-half of them who are sitting on their hands doing nothing. Remember what I said about political party? Now think about your place of work. Did you get to sit on your hands and collect your pay when you did not agree with your boss? Why don’t you ponder that? If you can ponder. Those employees of ours certainly can ponder. They know the rules and they know how to break them. The only question is why do you allow it? They work for you. How much simpler can it be? Tell them what you want. Fire them if you do not get it. Don’t worry about their departure. Right now, pretty much anything would be better than what we are getting from this bunch.
