A valuable asset for our community

There are so many great reasons to support the Dickinson County Library millage on Aug. 6.

Here are just some of them:

— friendly and helpful staff to assist you!

— books

— DVDs and CDS

— audio books

— magazine and newspapers

— online books and audio books via Libby with access to six additional library collections

–access to the streaming service Kanopy for movies, documentaries, and children’s programming

— learn a new language with Mango

— get books from libraries all over Michigan via interloan

— children’s programs including storytimes, Lego Club, cooking, crafts, etc.

— programs for adults including yoga, beekeeping, cooking, and book clubs

— annual Summer Reading Program to encourage reading for children AND adults throughout the summer months

–computers to use and free internet access throughout the library

— local history collection

— low cost copy machines

— reference assistance for locating the information you need

— Talking Books for the visually impaired

— meeting room spaces

— career preparation resources

— annual prom dress swap

— annual Christmas Walk program

— Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) for free or reduced admission to many MI attractions

The Dickinson County Library is one of our community’s most valuable assets. It serves ALL of our county’s residents and provides a variety of materials and services to address a wide array of informational and reading interests and points of view.
