EDITOR:

My letters usually run long and say quite a bit. This one will not run long but will still say quite a bit.

We have a choice coming up in the form of elections in November. It seems to me it is time to do some deep thinking on one very important thought.

Do you want to be governed or do you want to be ruled?

If you are not sure what I mean, look around the world. Many are governed as we are, by the people of their country.

Many are ruled by an individual. One person. No choices, just obedience.

For myself, I would rather make my own choices rather than be told what to do. Excuse me, I meant ordered what to do.

What do you want? Are you able to rule yourself or do you need to be ruled? It is that simple. Decide which it is that you want for yourself and all who will come after you.
