Trump can’t help himself
EDITOR:
At the Republican National Committee convention Donald Trump, humbled some by the assassination attempt, spoke the words I have been waiting to here: That Republicans, Democrats and Independents need to come together as Americans and be unified. (Years ago, there was a common bond that Americans felt within themselves, no matter the difference in political alliance or opinions; that has dissipated.)
Trump’s change of rhetoric and attitude lasted less than 24 hours, and then it was back to hurling unjust personal insults, negativity, speaking untruths, etc. … It’s obvious the man can’t help himself and that is the person he truly is.
He could not even find the decency within himself to applaud the prisoner swap with Russia that included the assistance of many of our allies. Instead, he criticized the deal as America being extorted, because of the release of Russian prisoners. Of course he did not mention that he had similar deals when he was President, as obviously to him that doesn’t matter.
Quite honestly people are tired of it. And as Neil Cavuto of Fox told Sen. John Kennedy recently — the beforementioned is not going to win the election for Republicans come November.
