Ken Hofer may have retired from coaching Menominee football but his “handprint” remains on the program.

“As long as we’re around, it will exist,” Maroons coach Joe Noha said prior to a recent ceremony honoring the legendary coach. “Ken was a consummate professional in that he prepared and put a lot of time into perfecting his craft.”

Ken’s son Chris will guide the Flivvers against Menominee on Friday in a Division 5 district final. The Maroons, points out Bryce Derouin of The Mining Gazette, have won the past eight district titles …
