Girls Soccer: Flivvers 1-2 at Waupaca
WAUPACA, Wis. — Kingsford High School girls soccer posted a 1-2 record Saturday.
“We played some very tough competition,” said Flivvers coach Jon Lorenzoni.
In the first game, Kingsford trailed 1-0 at halftime before bowing to Appleton West 4-0.
“They kind of wore us down and asserted their will in the second half,” Lorenzoni said.
Goals from Carly Schneider and Maddy Bennett sent the Flivvers past Sparta 2-0.
“Carly scored the first goal on a hard hit ball from the eighteen,” Lorenzoni said. “Maddy scored the second goal off of a beautiful through ball by Liz Penegor. It was nice to get that win.”
Menasha blanked Kingsford 2-0 in the third game.
“It was a hard fought game,” Lorenzoni said.
