Girls Basketball: Unbeaten Cardinals overwhelm LadyCats

FLORENCE, Wis. — Crandon stayed unbeaten in Northern Lakes Conference girls basketball with a 72-45 win over Florence on Friday.

The Cardinals forced 26 first-half turnovers and led 44-15 at the break.

“It was a very physical game,” said Florence coach Brad Perry. “We’ll take some small victories here. We outscored them in the second half and did a much better job handling the press.”

Florence (9-8, 5-5) was led by Cassie Larson’s 14 points. Jordyn Springer scored 10 points, Jenna Springer added nine, and Madison Neuens laced seven. Kathleen Selden, three points, and Savannah Vassar, two, rounded out the scoring.

Crandon JV won 44-13.

The Bobcats will host Forest Park on Monday.
