CRIVITZ, Wis. – Niagara posted a 25-9, 25-18 win over Marinette at a multi-team event Tuesday.

Lady Badgers also fell to Mercer (25-18, 25-6), Oneida (25-18, 25-23) and Laona/Wabeno (25-14, 25-18).

“We were playing short-handed today,” coach Maryellen Eagener noted. “We truly expected more out of this group than what was executed today. We need to play more consistent volleyball and cut down on our mental errors. We had moments of brightness where the girls were playing to their potential. From here, we need to move on by learning from our mistakes and studying film.”

Alyssa Cretton, Jessica Oratch and Cassie Gill paced the Niagara attack. Cretton, Faith Borchardt and Morgan Borchardt reached double-digit dig totals, while Julia Brown, Jayden Payette, Morgan Borchardt, Faith Borchardt, Bailey Pearson and Gill recorded ace serves.

Badgers host a triangular against Coleman and Wausaukee Thursday.
