RAPID RIVER – North Dickinson posted a 3-1 (25-14, 25-9, 19-25, 25-12) girls volleyball victory over Rapid River Tuesday evening.

“I thought the girls played well the first two games,” Nordics head coach Sandy Haustein said. “Their communication was good and they were aggressive to the ball. The third game we seemed to lose our focus and made a lot of mental mistakes and Rapid River took advantage of it, but in the fourth game, our setter Grace Mattson moved the ball around and had some really nice sets to our hitters.”

Skye Ledzian was strong at the net for the Nordics with two blocks and 22 kills. Ashton Hord and Briana Smith each tallied 14 digs.

“Overall it was a team effort and they all contributed in the win,” Haustein said.

The Nordics host Kingsford Tuesday.
