Escanaba edges Kingsford
KINGSFORD — In Great Northern Conference girls tennis action Tuesday, the Escanaba Eskimos defeated the host Kingsford Flivvers 5-3.
The singles matches were split, with Escanaba winning the top two flights, and Kingsford winning flight No. 3 and No. 4. In the doubles matches, the Lady Flivvers won flight No. 4 to avoid the clean sweep.
The match was a make-up from a rainout on Aug. 27. Kingsford travels to Gladstone this afternoon for their third match in as many days.
