Jets force forfeit at halftime

ONTONAGON — The North Central Jets and head coach Leo Gorzinski traveled to Ontonagon Friday night. Scoring 57 points in the first quarter, and leading 71-0 at halftime, Ontonagon’s head coach forfeited at halftime.

Noah Gorzinski was responsible for seven of the Jets touchdowns, five passing and two rushing. He also passed for two successful 2-point conversions and ran one in. Luke Gorzinski passed for two touchdowns and caught two more, adding a 2-point conversion on a run.

Cole Timblin ran in a touchdown and had two 2-point receptions.

“Happy to get out with the win, and go home healthy. Noah (Gorzinski) played really well and the defense flew around. Was able to give a lot of guys different looks, and I am proud of our guys for executing and playing classy football,” said coach Gorzinski. “Hats off to the Ontonagon kids for standing up and battling, unfortunately they had a couple injuries and put them on the verge of jeopardizing their season.”

Jets (3-0) travel to North Dickinson Thursday.
