MENOMINEE -- Kingsford traveled to Menominee to take on the Maroons in Great Northern Conference girls tennis on Thursday.
Despite falling to Menominee 2-6, Kingsford head coach Tracy Rutter was pleased with her girls in a couple areas.
"The girls worked great together with some last-minute lineup changes. I'm proud of their great teamwork they displayed. Also, Liz Penegor played great in her first varsity match." said Rutter.
The Flivvers have a busy week next week. Monday they host Negaunee. They'll host Escanaba on Tuesday in a makeup match from Aug. 27 and then will travel to Gladstone on Wednesday.
