ND loses at Brimley

BRIMLEY — A big offensive line and a fast running back, are a good combination to have to run a power offense in eight-player football. The Brimley Bays have exactly that, which helped them defeat the visiting North Dickinson Nordics 48-6 on Friday..

“Their running back was lightning fast and their offensive lineman were big. They used that to their advantage all night,” said Nordics head coach Mike Christian.

Scoring on the team’s first drive of the game to tie the score at 6-6, Nordics quarterback Brendon Donaldson hit paydirt on a 21-yard run. He also threw for 122 yards on 15 of 29 passing, and added nine tackles and a sack defensively.

Brandon Thao led the Nordics with 10 tackles, also recovering a fumble.

The Nordics stay on the road next week, traveling to Stephenson for a Great Lakes Conference East Division matchup.
