KINGSFORD — The 2019 Michigan-Wisconsin junior high girls basketball tournament wrapped up Thursday night with the championship games taking place at the Kingsford High School and Middle School gyms.

In the 7th Grade A Division, Kingsford defeated Forest Park 35-15. The 7th Grade B Division championship went to Norway, who defeated West Iron 21-18.

The 8th Grade A Division was won by Kingsford in a close game, 30-29 over West Iron.

In the 8th Grade B Division, the championship went to Forest Park, who defeated Iron Mountain 24-13.

The tournament completes the girls season.

The boys season begins with first practices on Monday, Oct. 21. The season-ending tournament is scheduled for the week of Dec. 16.
