HANCOCK – Finlandia senior and Norway native Harlie Caster was named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for volleyball.

This is the first time Caster has won the award. It is the second straight week that a Lion has been selected.

Caster had a strong performance at the SISU Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Paavo Nurmi Center. She averaged 5.33 digs per set over six sets. Caster had a career-high 20 digs against Mount Mary on Saturday.

ACAA schools include Finlandia, Mills, Mount Mary, Pine Manor, Pratt, UC Santa Cruz and Valley Forge.
