DAHA 41 Lumber Pee Wee AA squad sweeps Marquette

MARQUETTE — Despite being down two players to injury, the Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association 41 Lumber Pee Wee AA team skated to a pair of victories last weekend, defeating a Marquette A team 7-2 and 6-2 at Lakeview Arena.

“We saw lots of good things from the boys,” head coach Dennis Murvich noted. “We were short-handed and overcame that with a really solid effort.”

Ted Pennala and Jacob Deuter led the 41 Lumber squad’s scoring effort, each recording four goals and two assists in the victories. Jack Supanich recorded a hat trick in the first game and added an assist in the second contest.

Evan Moyer had five assists on the afternoon. Kaleb Fornetti and Henry Pennala both registered a goal and an assist. Seth Greenleaf, Trinton Butterfield and Jake Powell all added assists.

Nathan Scullon captured the wins in net, working both games for 41 Lumber.

Next up for the 41 Lumber Pee Wees is more action on the road, facing Calumet AA Sunday, Nov. 24. The team returns home to Mountain View Ice Arena on Nov. 30, hosting Lakeland (Wis.) for a pair.
