KINGSFORD — The Michigan-Wisconsin Middle School Boys Basketball Tournament got underway Monday night at the Kingsford high school and middle school gymnasiums.

In seventh grade action, Kingsford defeated Forest Park 37-24 in an A Division game, advancing to the finals Thursday night. They will play the winner of tonight’s game between North Dickinson and Iron Mountain.

The Norway seventh grade squad defeated West Iron 33-22 in the B Division, advancing to Thursday’s finals against Niagara or Florence.

Kingsford defeated Iron Mountain in eighth grade A Division action 41-32, advancing to the finals to face the winner of tonight’s contest between Florence and North Dickinson.

In the eighth grade B Division, Norway defeated West Iron 45-25, and will face either Forest Park or Niagara Thursday.

Tonight’s semifinals are at the Niagara school’s multiple gymnasiums. All of Thursday’s games return to Kingsford.
