Turnovers send Badgers to defeat

GILLETT, Wis. — Niagara played even with Gillett in the second half but dropped a 57-51 decision in M&O Conference boys basketball Friday.
“We had too many turnovers, 16, in the first half,” said Niagara coach Steve Derwinski. “We did battle back.”
The Badgers, who were led by Josh Weber’s 13 points and 13 rebounds, trailed 26-19 at halftime. Sladen Dunlap added 12 points and 10 rebounds while Dawson Lincoln contributed 11 points.
Gillett won the jayvee game 34-31. Edward Swanson led Niagara with 14 points.
