Gill double-double not enough for Niagara in 58-46 loss against Gillett

GILLETT, Wis. — Cassie Gill posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for Niagara in a 58-46 loss to Gillett Monday evening in a Marinette-Oconto Conference girls basketball make-up game from Dec. 9.

Niagara had three players in double figures as Jaida Maki and Jessica Oratch scored 10 points each. Alyssa Cretton recorded five steals in the losing effort for the Badgers.

Karissa Schaal canned a game-high 21 points for Tigers, with Aubrey DeBauch adding 14 points and Macy Franti netting10 points.

The Badgers (6-4, 3-3) return home to welcome M&O opponent St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday.
