STAMBAUGH -- Behind Marissa Delmont netting a game high 24 points, the Gwinn Modeltowners defeated the West Iron County Wykons 40-32 in West PAC Conference action here Thursday night. Delmont canned five 3-pointers on the night.
"We had a great first quarter but we went cold in the second and third quarters. The girls played hard on senior night but came up short," said Wykons head coach Eric Shamion.
Senior center Emily Nelson led West Iron with 13 points, while Jordan Shamion chipped in nine points, as the Wykons slip to 8-6 on the season.
The Wykons have only one game next week, traveling to Kingsford on Monday night.
