Men’s league basketball: Poma takes down Stanek Chiropractic

IRON MOUNTAIN — With Eric Shemmel and Lane Lindeman pacing Poma Masonry, the brick layers blasted Stanek Chiropractic 65-41 in recent Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools men’s league basketball action. Josh Beauchamp and Nate Rutter led the way for the back crackers.

Dan Paoli canned a game high 23 points, as TJP Construction/Pistol Crossfit slipped past Fleury Singler 58-56. Brady Goldschmidt netted 20 points for F-S, while Cory Johnson chipped in 13 points for TJP.

Adam Faull and Josh Plante combined for 45 points, as the Thirsty Whale/Knight Owl defeated Allen Painting and Decorating 54-42.

The Hitch N Post was led by Tyler Polfus who draine a game high 27 points, as they defeated Solberg’s Greenleafs 61-50. Mike Cross led the Leaf with 26 points, while Shawn Beaster netted 20 points for the Hitch. Dennis Del Santo chipped in 15 points for the Leaf in the losing effort.

Despite a game high 20 points from Ty Thomann for Norway Eye Care/Markell Company/FNB, the Big 10 Sport’s Bar/Inconcreto eked out a 51-50 victory. Bryan Richardson and Nick Sorensen each scored 19 points for the Big 10.

Matt Pip netted a game high 15 points, as Edwards Automotive defeated Tavern On Central/Florence Motors 60-53. Tony Palek led TOC/Florence Motors with 13 points in defeat.

Solberg’s Greenleafs #1 won on forfeit over Juiced Apparel.
