NORWAY — Senior Cassidy Menard of Norway has signed a National Letter of Intent to play colligate softball at Bay College.
“We’re excited to welcome Cassidy to the Norse family,” said Bay head coach Heidi Charon. “She’s a great student-athlete on and off the field and will bring critical depth to the catching position for us.”
“Congratulations to Cassidy for signing with Bay College to continue her softball career.” said Norway High School Principal and Athletic Director Joe Tinti. “We look forward to seeing Cassidy take the field in a Norse uniform next year.”
Menard has played on the varsity softball team at Norway for head coach Bob Bal for three seasons. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I was expecting great things out her this upcoming season,” Bal said. “She’d have been a team leader, with it being her third year starting every game. I wish her the best of luck at Bay and I am very proud of her,”
Menard is the daughter of Paul Menard and Lisa Rochon, both of Norway.
