Anderson captures 16th Oak Crest title

NORWAY TOWNSHIP — Oak Crest Golf Club in Norway held its Club Championship on Aug. 1. For the 16th time, Dan Anderson of Norway was crowned club champion.
Anderson, who won the event by four strokes, has won the championship at least one time, in each of the last four decades. The former Lake Superior State University golfer defeated former Lakeland University golfer Austin Hansen, who shot a 110, tying with Matt Solda for second place.
OCGC Director of Golf Kevin Londo reports that 34 golfers competed in the 27-hole event this year.

— Cardy Steele won the Handicaps 16 flight, shooting a +20, 128. The Handicaps 17 and over flight was won by Leon Waitrovich who shot a +13, 85 in 18 holes. 82-year-old Bob Kanyuh shot a +16 88, also in 18 holes.
