Kingsford rallies for sweep against GNC foe Menominee
KINGSFORD — In front of fans for the first time this season, Kingsford’s volleyball team defeated Great Northern Conference foe Menominee Tuesday night at the Kingsford Middle School Gymnasium. The Flivvers won in straight sets 3-0 (25-7,25-12,25-16).
“We finally were able to win in three sets tonight,” said Kingsford head coach Jaclynn Kreider. “The third set has been a tough one for use this year and we started out slow again tonight during that set. We were down by at least 7 points at one point in that set, but were able to then turn the game around and take the momentum back.”
Kingsford also won the JV contest 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-20). The Flivvers will remain home to face Marquette on Thursday in another GNC match. Kingsford travels across Woodward Avenue to Iron Mountain on Tuesday for match one of the Twin City rivalry.
