NIAGARA, Wis. -- The Northern Elite Predators football game scheduled for Friday night at Oconto Falls has been canceled.
The co-operative squad with players from Niagara, Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine and Goodman-Armstrong Creek schools, has forfeited due to a player shortage.
Niagara athletic director Scott Trevillian states the shortage is due to player injuries and coronavirus precautions being taken with one school within the co-op. The varsity team will move forward with the remainder of their 2020 schedule on a week by week basis.
Trevillian notes that the Predators junior varsity game scheduled for Monday at Northland Pines has also been canceled, due to Northland Pines forfeiting.
