Skyline Central names top volleyball players

HARRIS — The 2020 Skyline Central All-Conference volleyball selections were announced Wednesday morning.

Kassandra Cary of North Dickinson and Olivia Stanchina of Norway were both selected to the first team. Forest Park’s Gracie Peterson was named to the second team.

Two area players received conference-wide awards. Individual Sportsmanship award selection was Macy Johnson of Forest Park, while the Defensive Specialist award selection was Ashton Hord of North Dickinson.

Player of the Year: Taylor Kedsch, Sr, Carney-Nadeau

First Team: Haley Ernest, Sr, Carney-Nadeau; Liana Blahnik, Sr, Carney-Nadeau; Riley Johnson, Jr, Superior Central; Paige Cappaert, Sr, Stephenson; Tressa Ives, Jr, Bark River-Harris; Kassandra Cary, Jr, North Dickinson; Olivia Stanchina, Sr, Norway.

Second Team: Logan Peters, Jr, Munising; Justine Havelka, Sr, Stephenson; Carley Varoni, So, Bark River-Harris; Mackenzie Walcher, Jr, Carney-Nadeau; Addie Christoff, Jr, Rapid River; Allison Richer, Sr, Bark River-Harris; Gracie Peterson, Jr, Forest Park.
