Cretton nets 20 points as Lady Badgers fall to Gillett, 56-47
NIAGARA, Wis. — In a Marinette-Oconto Conference girls basketball matchup Monday night, Gillett slipped past Niagara 56-47 at Niagara High School.
Niagara senior Alyssa Cretton led all scorers with 20 points, while teammate Josie Rock chipped in 13 points in the losing effort. Carleigh Kaczmarek led Gillett with 15 points, with Maci Franting canning 13 points and Alaina Herzog adding 10 for the Lady Tigers.
Head coach Karl Lamoreaux and the Lady Badgers slip to 1-2 on the season. They travel to Crivitz on Saturday afternoon for a makeup game with the Wolverines. The JV contest tips off at 4 p.m., with the varsity game to follow.
