Badgers cagers take down Lena

LENA, Wis. — Sophomore Josie Rock canned a game-high 19 points, with 15 points coming from behind the three-point arc, as Niagara breezed past Marinette-Oconto Conference foe Lena 61-30 in a non-conference girls basketball game here Monday night.

Badgers senior Alyssa Cretton added 17 points, and junior Bailey Pearson chipped in 10 points.

“The girls played a really nice game tonight, playing well in every facet,” said Niagara head coach Karl Lamoreaux. “I am very happy that we are coming together at the end of the year.”

Niagara, who also won the JV game, returns home to host non-conference rival Florence on Thursday night in a varsity only matchup, with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Badgers (8-7) make a return trip to Lena on Feb. 2 for a M&O tilt with the Wildcats.
